About Matchplay
About our matchplay sessions for ages 11 years to 18 years

Our weekly matchplay sessions fill the need for young players between 11 and 18 years of age (school years 7 to 13) to actually "play" their chosen sport. It is not a substitute for coaching, it's a complimentary activity.
Our experience has shown that, particularly for this age group, there are very few opportunities for them to simply play and develop a love for the game.
We began our programme by offering matchplay sessions during school holidays.
That has since developed enabling us to offer not just a holiday programme but also a limited number of places in our weekly programmes.
Tennis [Book for a term or for single Pay to Play sessions]
Every Saturday afternoon at Croydon Road Recreation Ground from 1.00pm - 2.30pm we have a programme of doubles tennis for players of all abilities. By joining this programme and paying in advance for a term, players have acces to tennis matchplay every week of the school term and most weeks during the school holidays, when they automatically have a place in our Pay-to-Play sessions at no extra cost. All sessions are supervised by a qualified, experienced coach.
Badminton [Book for holiday Pay to Play sessions]
Badminton sessions are all "Pay-to-Play" sessions
During term time
Every Friday evening at The Parklangley Club from 6.00pm - 7.30 pm a coach - led session of doubles and singles Pay-to-Play which we offer in partnership with The Parklangley Club in their great badminton facility. There is no need to book for these sessions, just turn up on the day, they are not limited in numbers and cost £2.50 payable to the coach.
During holiday periods
We also affer a weekly Pay-to-Play session on Fridays from 5.00pm - 7.00pm.
Why do our holiday sessions cost more than the term time sessions?
There are a number of reasons why.
1. Limited numbers - we have a maximum of 16 places on the holiday programmes unlike the term time sessions which are not limited.
2. Guaranteed, full court singles and doubles matches. In term time, most play is on half court.
3. Full matches are played. During term time, matches are usually timed i.e. 5 minutes and whoever has the highest score wins.
4. Fun games with the coach. A chance to play games such as "Round the World" etc.
Squash/Racketball [Book for a term or for single Pay to Play sessions]
Every Sunday from 11.45am - 1.15pm on the squash courts at The Parklangley Club, play your choice of squash or racketball. A qualified coach will be there to organise and supervise.
There are no sessions matching the selection.
